Sugandha Sharma

Sugandha Sharma is a senior generative AI architect and scientist at NVIDIA, specializing in developing foundation models. She focuses on structured retrieval, RAG, and model customization and alignment, including LLMs for chip design and VLMs for robotics. Previously, as a research scientist at Microsoft Research, she developed GPT-based gaming AI agents and studied their alignment with humans. Sugandha holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from MIT, where she built generative AI agents for 3D spatial planning. Her notable contributions include a memory model without catastrophic forgetting and the first neural circuit model linking memory and spatial navigation, significantly advancing the theoretical understanding of brain circuits.
