Kai Liu

Kai Liu is the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at SES AI Corp, where he spearheads AI initiatives, including the Molecular Universe LLM, to advance battery research and scientific discovery. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. Before joining SES, he was an AI research director in the biotech industry, where he leveraged his expertise to lead AI-driven drug discovery initiatives such as personalized cancer vaccines, knowledge-graph-driven drug discovery, and NLP for clinical trial protocol authoring. His interests span AI for material science, cancer immunology, and neuroscience.
